I am and will be a tireless, passionate advocate for positive reform in our government. I want to see far more open and transparent legislative processes. I want to see rules surrounding elections that eliminate unfair advantages. I want to see more accountability, including the highest standards of ethics, for public servants, particularly in the legislature. I separate these reforms into three categories:
- Increased Transparency
- Election Reform
- Accountability Reform
I believe in a policy of radical transparency. I believe my constituents should always know what I am doing in their service.
I will tirelessly advocate for the following electoral reforms:
- More non-partisan elections
- Independent districting
- Ranked-choice Voting
I will support the following policies to increase government accountability:
- Term Limits
- Campaign Finance Reform
In principle, I believe that the lower our taxes are, the better. I will follow these principles when looking at tax reform.
- Balanced Budgets
- No Regressive Taxes
I believe in free markets, will promote continued economic growth, seek to keep business taxes low, and err on the side of fewer regulations. I will always look through the lens of sustainability in economic growth.
Utah’s education must always be the top priority for the state government. I will promote smart yet increased public investment in our education system, particularly supporting our teachers.

We have a responsibility to ensure that our growth absolutely minimizes the negative impact on our environment. Smart policies must always be strengthened to clean our air, water, and natural ecosystems.

I believe in continually improving our system in Utah to obtain the following three goals:
1) Increase Access to Healthcare, including Medicaid.
2) Decreasing Costs of Healthcare
3) Focus on Preventative Care
I will support laws that provide protection against any form of discrimination based on race, language, country of origin, religion, gender, disability, age, or sexual orientation.
I believe we need to continue to set the standard as a state who can protect the role of religious belief in public life.
I would like to see the number of abortions reduced as much as possible. I believe that the most effective way to do this is through looking at policies that help to diminish the root causes of abortion.

I am a supporter of the rights of Utahns to own and responsibly use firearms. It is worth looking at clear, evidence-based policies that would help to reduce the numbers of firearm related homicides, suicides, and accidental deaths.
